If you need help estimating a travel budget or understanding what’s covered, feel free to reach out to our team anytime!

In Egypt, tipping—often referred to as “baksheesh”—is a traditional way to show appreciation for good service. While it’s not mandatory, it is highly appreciated and often expected in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

Here are our recommended tipping guidelines:

  • Tour Guide: $15–$20 per day, per group
  • Driver: $5–$10 per day, per group
  • Nile Cruise Crew: $5–$10 per person, per night (shared among staff)
  • Hotel Staff (porters, housekeeping, etc.): $1–$2 per service

Tipping Tips

  • Tipping is not included in your tour package
  • We recommend bringing small bills in USD or Egyptian Pounds (EGP) for convenience
  • When in doubt, a friendly tip goes a long way in enhancing your travel experience!

If you ever feel unsure about tipping during your trip, just ask your tour coordinator—we’re here to help!
